Another beautiful autumns day football at Wellington college and the Frothers were out to get some dignity, but not too many points, against a happy feet team that put a fair few past the boys last time out.
After a few slips in the backline Jacob for put up front, and the Frothers had their favourite target-man back. Jacob bullied the happyfeet centreback to get the ball in the box and put it to the side of the keeper.
1-0
At pretty much the last kick of the half Happyfeet were able to switch the ball to a wide open winger, who cut inside and slid in his teammate to equalise.
1-1
The game was well-matched and the Frothers were managing to keep up the rhythm they had developed the week before. A keeper swap saw Nikolai come out of goal and Chris take his place.
The Frothers finally got a bit of luck as Yash picked up a deflection at the edge of the six yard box and put it in the corner.
2-1
Not long afterwards the Happyfeet defenders were telegraphing their passes a bit much and the ever energetic Evan gambled and took the ball off their feet. Striding along the edge of the box and searching for options Evan had to throw the left peg at the ball and see what would happen. It nicely nestled in the corner to give the Frothers a two goal lead.
3-1
The Frothers were dangerously close to move out of the relegation zone.
A Happyfeet player ghosted into the box and was played in for a 1-on-1, and tucked the ball under the body of the keeper.
3-2
Late in the game and another another free Happyfeet runner came into the box, just needing to put the ball 1 foot to the side of the rock between the sticks.
3-3
This happened to be a critical goal, as the Frothers would be out of the relegation zone if they had held the 3 points. The promised land is in sight.
It was great to have big Jacob back with baby in tow, a true Frother appearance
Pulling out at the 11th hour when slated to be goalie, Farshid always dogs the boys
